Platform Terms of Use & Privacy Policy

1. Eligibility & Platform Access: All participants must register via the Season Registration form on the BRT website to participate in major BRT events (including the Main Event and BRT Summer Singles). Creation of an optional website membership account or use of the digital platform is fully governed by these terms.

2. Code of Conduct: Participants and account holders agree to act with good sportsmanship and integrity. BRT reserves the right to suspend or revoke tournament access, digital membership profiles, and platform privileges at its sole discretion and in accordance with its established disciplinary procedures.

3. Platform Infrastructure: The BRT digital platform, backend registration configurations and software infrastructure are owned by BRT or as otherwise provided under the applicable asset and continuity arrangements, and are administered by the Webmaster. Data processed through the platform is controlled as set out in section 4, and account approvals relating to tournament participation are made in accordance with BRT’s eligibility and disciplinary procedures.

4.  Data Protection & Processing: For the purposes of UK data protection laws, personal data collected through this platform is processed by BRT for the purposes of managing its tournaments and related activities. The Webmaster may also process personal data for platform administration and historical and continuity purposes (e.g. names, contact details etc) relating to the Tournament. BRT and the Webmaster will each be responsible for complying with applicable data protection requirements in respect of the processing for which they are responsible. Personal data is processed on the basis of the relevant lawful basis, including legitimate interests where applicable, in organising and administering tournaments and preserving the Tournament’s historical and community record. Data is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes, or as required by law.

5. Security & Third Parties: Your data is securely held inside our private website database using appropriate security measures. We do not sell, rent, or share your contact details with external third parties or council affiliates except where necessary to administer BRT activities, where required by law, or with your permission. Users retain the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of their personal data, object to its processing, or request a copy in a portable format, where those rights apply under applicable law. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

6. System Maintenance & Availability: The Webmaster retains the right to temporarily suspend website hosting, registration portals, membership features, or digital communication links at any time for security updates, administrative restructuring, or technical maintenance, without prior notice to participants, members, or affiliates.
